DIVEMASTER COURSE INDONESIA ULTIMATE SPECIALTIES
Deep Diver
Going deeper can be exciting and hold untold mysteries! Whether it be exploring a wreck, or further down a wall, there is always something more to see. This specialty will certify you to 40 meters. We’ll go over deep dive planning, dealing with your gas supply, the effects of narcosis. Additionally, there will also be special buddy procedures to consider.
Nitrox Diver
This specialty will certify you to dive with Enriched Air. It happens to be the most popular specialty around the world! Diving with Enriched Air will allow you to dive at deeper depths for a longer amount of time. Therefore, it makes your dives safer. Furthermore, there are special considerations that we will go over during the course. Come get Nitrox certified!
Luckily, here around our sanctuary, we have plenty of marine life to watch. One of the highlights being our resident Manta rays that you can encounter all year round. Lastly, come get Nitrox certified and spend more time with those majestic creatures!
Underwater Naturalist
This course will make you see the underwater world in a way you never have before! Your instructor will go over the special relationships that marine organisms share. Furthermore, we’ll go over underwater ecology and learn more about our local habitats. You’ll come out of this with a renewed understanding of marine behaviors. It’s sure to enhance your dives in the future!
Project AWARE Course
This course will introduce you to the Project AWARE movement. This is a global project whose mission is to protect our oceans. We will go over its ethos and the various ways you can contribute. This is outlined under the 10 Tips for Divers to Protect the Ocean Planet. Furthermore, you’ll participate in a series of interactive discussions and presentations that will expand your knowledge of ocean conservation. Most divers come out of this course with a whole new insight on how our different environments interact.
AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty Course
Coral lovers will love this specialty! You will learn all about different types of corals, their role in our environment, and how we can protect them. Did you know corals are made up of thousands of animals called polyps? We’ll also go on a special Coral Watch dive where we can get hands-on experience in monitoring coral health and accruing data. Additionally, you will learn about the effects of coral bleaching and how to identify them as well. Lastly, you’ll submit that data to Coral Watch so that it can be used to help our oceans.
Manta Conduct Dive
We partnered with Marine Megafauna to bring you this Manta Conduct dive and Manta Watch workshop. In this activity, you will dive deep into the gentle giants that call our waters home. You’ll learn all about their physiology, behaviors, habitat, and more! Additionally, you’ll learn how Manta Watch has used citizen science to collect data. That data is then analyzed and used to protect these magnificent creatures.
